League Statement: Cambridge Cricket Club

The East Anglian Premier League Management Committee has found that the Cambridge Cricket Club does not meet the England and Wales Cricket Board criteria to be a Premier League Club, in that they do not run three age-group sides playing hardball cricket up to the age of under 15. The Club has been given the opportunities in 2018, 2019 and 2020 to rectify and build on relationships with City of Cambridge and Hardwick and Caldecote CC.

In the absence of positive action to achieve the above criteria, the League Management Committee has been left with no alternative but to make the decision that the Cambridge CC will not be permitted to take a place in the East Anglian Premier League for the season 2022.

By reverting the Club back to the Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire Premier League in the 2022 season, this will give the Club the best opportunity to rebuild and return in the future.
